
Former Victorian Liberal Party member of the Federal House of Representatives Sarah Henderson won the party’s by-election, and she will represent the Victorian Liberal Party to fill the vacant Federal Senate seat.
The Victorian Senate seat was vacant due to the resignation of former communications minister Mitch Fifield and the appointment of Australia’s permanent ambassador to the United Nations.
In the party’s by-election, she defeated Greg Mirabella, the husband of Sophie Mirabella, a former member of the Victoria Indi Constituency.
She won the election in the party with 234 votes to 197 votes.
Sarah Henderson spoke to the media after winning the party election.
She said she will go all out and work for the Victorian people on 24 X 7 .
She also said that she is very proud and honored to win in the party elections on Sunday.
