The Governor of Victoria (Daniel Andrews) announced that the Victorian government will release its roadmap for reopening on Sunday, September 6, to provide certainty and clarity to communities and businesses.
The Andrews government will elaborate on the reopening plan on Sunday and build on key principles to ensure that once restrictions are relaxed, the number of new cases will remain low. The key principles of the above-mentioned decision-making are: to ensure that physical distance and density rules are followed; to wear masks and personal protective equipment in high-risk workplaces; to ensure that the workplace complies with regulations and requires employees not to work when they are sick. This consultation will be based on our public health,
The following principles are routine tasks that Victorian businesses and workplaces continue to perform every day:
• Ensure that the body maintains social distancing, comply with density requirements, ensure that employees do their work at home as much as possible, limit the total number of employees and customers in closed areas, and prohibit carpooling.
• Wear a face shield at all times in the workplace, and make sure to wear complete personal protective equipment in high-risk environments
• Make good hygiene requirements in the workplace, such as regular cleaning of high-frequency touch points, regular staff washing hands, and all employees and customers have hand sanitizers to use.
•Even if employees have mild symptoms or feel unwell, they must act quickly and develop strict policies to support employees to stay at home and undergo inspections. If a confirmed case is found, all workplaces need to make plans, take immediate action, and must keep records of all employees, customers, and visitors.
