Morrison said that he is determined to let Australia continue to be the best immigration country in the world, and he will promote understanding and challenge those who oppose this spirit.
The Prime Minister told the Project on the 10th station on Thursday that “this is my way. I am happy to challenge others.”
“I will not be embarrassed to do these things.”
He also further explained a shadow cabinet meeting in 2011, where he encouraged colleagues to use the community’s concerns about Muslim immigration to achieve political goals.
Mr. Morrison, who has been denying the allegations of this anonymous person, said he was actually trying to improve this attitude.
He said: “It never happened. I have been very worried about people’s attitude towards Muslims in our community.”
“I am expressing this fear in the community, we have to solve these problems instead of using them.”
This 2011 conference after the Christchurch massacre surfaced again on the Internet.
After the shooting last week, The project host Waleed Aly mentioned the monologue shared by many people in the show.
The Prime Minister’s one-on-one visit to Aly on Thursday was that he disagreed with what Aly said. The Prime Minister said that he was lying no matter who was filthy with reporters eight years ago.
Morrison said: “You are suggesting that the Muslim community cannot feel safe because they have a prime minister who does not know how to be biased against them.”
“I don’t think this is true.”
When asked if there is any Islamic fear in Australia, Morrison admitted that Australia may not have a good understanding of its beliefs.
He said: “I don’t know if Australians understand Islam well. This often leads you to fear something that you don’t understand, so by definition this is the reason.”
But he said he would try to make people love “all Australians” regardless of their background, ethnicity and religious beliefs.
“We are the most successful multicultural country on the planet and a better immigrant country than any other country in the world.”
“My responsibility is to ensure that Australia is still like this, and this is my determination.”
