Stimulated by local and overseas news, the Australian dollar rose to its highest value against the US dollar in 15 months last night. The Australian dollar hit 71.47 US cents, its highest value since April last year.
The exchange rate for the Australian dollar at 9:30 am was 71.28 US cents. After EU countries agreed on a large-scale stimulus package, the euro also rose to its highest value since January 2019.
