A Canadian real estate company acquired a landfill north of Melbourne and plans to spend 230 million Australian dollars to build an industrial center. The property will now be rebuilt into a high-quality 120,000 square meter logistics park and business center, and construction is expected to start in early 2021.
The factory’s goal is to obtain a 5-star Green Star rating, and will focus on supporting core logistics areas such as e-commerce, distribution, food and cold storage. The warehouse area ranges from 15,000 square meters to 50,000 square meters. Stimulated by the e-commerce boom, office property investment has slowed due to long-term workplace uncertainty, and industrial property investment has surged in 2020.
