This week, Australia’s four major banks will announce their annual results. Everyone’s eyes will be on how much they have earned in the past year.
The market estimates that the four major banks made a profit of A$19 billion last year. On Thursday, ANZ will be the first of the Big Four to announce their full-year results. Next week, Westpac and National Bank will relay their results.
On Thursday, ANZ is expected to announce that they have a profit of 6.54 billion for the whole year. Westpac, which announced its results next week, is expected to earn 15% less than last year, while the National Bank’s performance is expected to earn 9% less.
