The market estimates that the four major banks made a profit of A$19 billion last year. On Thursday, ANZ will be the first of the Big Four to announce their full-year results. Next week, Westpac and National Bank will relay their results.
On Thursday, ANZ is expected to announce that they have a profit of 6.54 billion for the whole year. Westpac, which announced its results next week, is expected to earn 15% less than last year, while the National Bank’s performance is expected to earn 9% less.
