Federal Labor Party’s Shadow Trade Minister Madeleine King told Skynews’s host that the Labor Party supports the coalition government to join the US-led Persian Gulf Naval Patrol Alliance to protect the Persian Gulf’s oil transportation.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Morrison announced in the capital Canberra that Australia joined the maritime patrol alliance in the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf of the United States.

Mainly to help protect the oil transportation of merchant ships through the strait, from Iranian interference.

Currently only announced that the alliance to join the United States:

  2. Australia

Shadow Trade Minister Madeleine King said that our Labour Party supports freedom of navigation.

We want to ensure that the channel is unimpeded and that merchant ships can pass smoothly and safely.

On the other hand, she is also very worried about the trade war between China and the United States.

She said that in particular, Western Australia is very sensitive to international trade and is susceptible to international trade.
