Prime Minister Morrison appointed his own former office director to serve as the highest public servant in the country.

The Secretary of the Treasury Department, Phil Gaetjens, will replace Martin Parkinson, who will retire next month, as the Prime Minister and Secretary of the Cabinet.

Gaetjens served as the director of his office when Morrison was the finance minister. Last year he was appointed as the public servant of the Treasury Department and has already criticized the Labour Party for his crony.

He also served as the office director of Howard’s Treasury Secretary Costello.

“Phil has 40 years of experience in the state and the federal government.” Morrison told reporters in Canberra.

“He has been more closely involved in the planning of central agencies than most people. As you know, I have worked closely with Phil in the past, and I look forward to working closely with him in the future.”

Morrison denied that he only promoted a friend and said that he promised not to politicize public office.

Morris cites the appointment of senior public servants, including the Labor government that has delegated senior defense duties to the current Secretary of the Interior, Mike Pezzullo.

The retirement of Dr. Parinson triggered a change in the position of senior public servant in the capital.

Secretary of the Infrastructure Department, Steven Kennedy, will now head the Treasury.

It has been speculated that the current Secretary of Defense, Greg Moriarty, is waiting to take charge of the Treasury and the Cabinet Department.

The Prime Minister hinted that there may be more public appointments.

Dr. Parkinson’s term of office arrived only in 20221, and he is now retiring early.

After Albert led the coalition party to the 2013 general election, Dr. Parkinson lost the position of secretary of the Treasury.

In place of Albert’s former Prime Minister Turnbull, in 2015, Dr. Parkinson was appointed as the Prime Minister and Secretary of the Cabinet.
